The Simple Man T-Bone Steak Recipe

We're pretty simple guys here at Burn Pit BBQ.  We like our meat hot and our beer cold.  This is one of our favorite steak recipes because it doesn't take much to get it done.  All you need is a T-Bone, salt & pepper, and fire!  This is super simple and anyone can do it.

Ingredients

  • 4 – 12 oz T-Bone Steaks (1 inch thick)

  • Coarse salt & black pepper

The Process

  • Place the steaks on a plate and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper. Let the meat sit while you preheat the grill

  • Set the grill up for direct grilling and preheat to high

  • When ready to cook, brush and oil the grate. Grill for 4-6 minutes per side for medium rare (about 145°F)

  • Remove the steaks from the grill and let stand for about 3 minutes before serving

Pro-tip – Arrange the steaks on the hot grate at a 45-degree angle to the bars of the grate. Rotate the steaks after 3 minutes to create those sexy crosshatch of grill marks.

Optional – Continue to add freshly ground black pepper to the steaks as they cook.
