Smoked Prime Rib Burger

Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds prime rib meat, finely ground

4 burger buns, preferably brioche

4 slices smoked Gouda cheese

1 red onion, thinly sliced

4 leaves green leaf lettuce

4 slices beefsteak tomato

Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Smoked Prime Rib Seasoning:

2 tablespoons smoked paprika

2 tablespoons Ground Pounder Garlic Seasoning

For the Smoked Aioli Sauce (optional):

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions:

Prepare the Smoked Prime Rib Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika and Ground Pounder Garlic Seasoning. Mix well to create the seasoning blend.

Form the Burger Patties: Divide the ground prime rib meat into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion into a burger patty, ensuring they are slightly larger than the burger buns to account for shrinkage during cooking. Season both sides of the patties generously with the smoked prime rib seasoning. Let them sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes before grilling.

Prepare the Smoked Aioli Sauce: In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Adjust seasoning according to taste. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, aiming for a temperature of around 375-400°F (190-200°C). If using a charcoal grill, set it up for indirect grilling by placing the charcoal on one side of the grill.

Grill the Burger Patties: Place the seasoned burger patties on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached. During the last minute of grilling, add a slice of smoked Gouda cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt.

Toast the Burger Buns: While the patties are grilling, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill until they are golden brown and have grill marks.

Assemble the Burgers: To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of the smoked aioli sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a grilled prime rib patty with melted smoked Gouda cheese on top. Add a leaf of green leaf lettuce, a slice of beefsteak tomato, and a few slices of red onion. Top with the other half of the toasted bun.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve the smoked prime rib burgers immediately while still warm. Enjoy the juicy, smoky flavors of this indulgent burger creation!

Feel free to customize the toppings and seasonings according to your preferences. This recipe pairs well with a side of crispy fries or a fresh salad.
