Smoked Honey Sweet Potatoes

I was looking for a new side dish to serve along with my steaks and this sweet potato recipe did just the trick. It's super easy to do and if you don't want to put them in the smoker, they are just as good if you use your stove!

Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Makes 6 servings
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

3 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon Fire For Effect Sweet Heat Rub
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions

1. Preheat your smoker or grill to 375 degrees F (I recommend a lighter smoke flavor like apple or pecan for this recipe)

2. Place potatoes in a large bowl. Whisk together honey, oil, salt cinnamon, Fire For Effect, and pepper; add potatoes and toss to coat

3. Transfer to a greased 15x10x1 inch pan

4. Smoke until tender, 45-50 minutes, stirring once
