Smoked Honey Butter

Smoked honey butter is a great addition to flavor arsenal. Use it as a spread on bread or roll your corn on the cob in it!

12oz local honey
8oz unsalted butter (room temp)
pinch of salt

-Preheat smoker to 200 degrees F (use apple or cherry wood) *keep the temp under 212 to avoid boiling the honey

-Place honey in a tinfoil pan and place on smoker for 3 hours

-Remove honey from smoker and let cool to room temp

-In mixing bowl, combine butter and honey. Mix on high speed until whipped (approx. 3 mins)

-Transfer to a container or freeze to use later
