Smoked Chex Mix
Main Ingredients:
- Chex Mix
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Fire in the Hole or Fire for Effect rub
- Peanuts
- Pretzels
- Rye Chips
- Thin Breadsticks
- Bagel Crisps
In a size tin pan, coat the bottom with Chex mix. You can use whatever add-ins you like, this is just what I used.
Stir them together and add 2 TBS Worcestershire. Mix and add more if necessary so that your rub will stick. I added a total of 4 TBS.
Season the hell out of it with your favorite Burn Pit BBQ rub!
I made two batches, one with Fire in the Hole and the other with Fire for Effect. The Fire in the Hole had a great kick to it, while the Fire for Effect was a little more subtle and sweet.
Get the grill to about 375-400 and stir about every 20 minutes. I used Pecan wood chips for a little Smokey flavor and grilled each batch for about an hour each.
This idea is all credit to Pat Owens who sent me a picture of his homemade Chex mix using our rubs, thanks Pat!!
Fire up the grills!
