Grilled Peach and Pork Skewers with Sweet Honey Sauce

A great seasonal BBQ recipe for late August is Grilled Peach and Pork Skewers with Sweet Honey Glaze. This recipe is perfect for beginners and highlights the late-summer bounty of fresh peaches. It's simple to prepare and offers a delicious combination of savory and sweet flavors, making it a great addition to your BBQ summer menu.

Grilled Peach and Pork Skewers with Honey-Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3-4 ripe peaches, cut into wedges
  • 1 red onion, cut into large chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Pogey Bait Sweet Honey Sauce
  • Fire For Effect Sweet Heat Rub (optional)
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Skewers:

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.

  • Thread the pork cubes, peach wedges, red onion, and red bell pepper onto the skewers, alternating between ingredients.

2. Season the Skewers:

  • Drizzle the skewers with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Optionally, add some Fire For Effect Sweet Heat Rub for extra flavor.

3. Grill the Skewers:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is cooked through and the peaches are caramelized.

4. Glaze the Skewers:

  • During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the Pogey Bait Sweet Honey Sauce over the skewers. Let it cook for a minute or two until the glaze is slightly sticky.

5. Serve:

  • Remove the skewers from the grill and serve immediately. These skewers pair well with a light summer salad or grilled vegetables.
