Grilled Corn In The Husk

Grilled Corn In The Husk

Grilling corn in the husk is a simple and delicious way to enjoy a summer favorite. Here's a straightforward recipe for grilling corn in the husk:

Grilled Corn in the Husk

Ingredients:

  • 4 ears of corn, in the husk
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: Freshly ground black pepper, garlic powder, or your favorite BBQ rub. We recommend our Ground Pounder Garlic Seasoning.

Instructions:

Preheat the Grill:

Heat your grill to medium-high (about 375-450°F or 190-230°C).

Soak the Corn:

  • Fill a large pot or bucket with water.
  • Soak the corn in the husk for at least 15-20 minutes. This helps prevent the husks from burning and keeps the corn moist.

Prepare the Corn:

  • After soaking, shake off any excess water.
  • Peel back the husks carefully without removing them and remove the silk from each ear of corn.
  • Fold the husks back up around the corn.

Grill the Corn:

  • Place the corn on the grill.
  • Cover the grill and cook the corn for about 15-20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. The husks will char, but the corn inside will steam and cook perfectly.

Check for Doneness:

Carefully peel back a small section of the husk to check if the kernels are tender and cooked. If not, continue grilling for a few more minutes.

Season the Corn:

  • Once the corn is done, remove it from the grill and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Peel back the husks and remove them completely.
  • Brush the corn with melted butter and sprinkle with salt. You can also add black pepper, garlic powder, or your favorite BBQ rub for extra flavor.
