Grilled Beer Brats with Homemade Stadium Sauce

Ingredients:

6 fresh bratwurst sausages
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bottle (12 oz) of your favorite beer
6 bratwurst buns

For the Homemade Stadium Sauce:

1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon Ground Pounder Garlic Seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat Your Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 375-400°F (190-200°C).

Prepare the Homemade Stadium Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine all the ingredients for the stadium sauce - ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, Ground Pounder Garlic Seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine. Place the saucepan over medium heat and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. Once done, set aside.

Grill the Brats: While the sauce is simmering, place the sliced onions and minced garlic in a large disposable aluminum pan. Pour the beer over the onions and garlic. Place the brats in the pan with the beer and onions.

Grill the brats over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C). Once done, take the brats and place them directly over the coals or heat source to create a light char on the outside. Approximately 30 seconds per side

Toast the Buns: In the last few minutes of grilling, place the bratwurst buns on the grill to toast lightly. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Assemble Your Grilled Beer Brats: Once the brats are cooked and the buns are toasted, remove everything from the grill. Place a grilled brat in each bun and top with the beer-soaked onions from the pan. Drizzle generously with the homemade stadium sauce.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve your Grilled Beer Brats with Homemade Stadium Sauce alongside your favorite BBQ sides and enjoy the flavors of summer!
